Venice is great! nevertheless, Hotel Biasin was a bad choise for our stay. It was noisy, bathroom dirty, smell terrible and room old. I would never recommend it.

It got the job done, but check-in was a pain. My girlfriend and I had rashes that we think are from bed bugs. Go, but get an ensuite. .

The hostel has an excellent location, everything went fine and even we did the check-ouy early we could leave the bagagge there. Ultra-recommended :)

I booked a single bed with shared toilet thinking to have booked a single room from the description provided in the website and I found out that the bed was actually in a dorm. The floor was dirty and while I was away someone used the toilet and watched tv lying on a bed in the room.

Given the fact that there are no other means of transportation in Venice apart from boats, the greatest advantage of this hotel is how close it is situated from Plazza Roma. Almost all turistic objectives are within walking distance.

This was probably the worst accommodation ever! Hotel that said three stars online on the booking site but turned out to be only one star, with no bathroom and the crappiest shower ever (only one shower to share with the whole floor!!). Room was tiny and AC was not working. Promised wifi was not working in the building we stayed in. Would not recommend this to anyone ever and not sure how this hotel even got the one star!

positive: great location for good price; TV and AC in the room; the breakfast was in the bar nearby, and consist of coffee/tee and croissant (quite enough I guess)

negative: I have some doubts that the staff speaks English (the lady on the so called "reception" was more than 80 years old, although she was pleasant; the rooms shown in this site are not like the real one (We had room without WC)- there was no sight of the canal and it was very basic furnished; the bathroom was small and there is no locker!; trey don`t give you key from the front door - you have to ring every time, and sometimes to wait to unlock it; there is only one WC and bathroom on the floor (we wake up early and we had no problem but it might be).

I would not stay there again!

Staff - The old, unpleasant lady who don't speak English, an awful shower, breakfast - coffee and criossant (small, but tasty), destroyed furniture in the room. I don't recommend.

bad, staff unpolite and not willing to help, to open frontdoor of hotel there was no key ! only doorbell and many many times i waited long (sometimes 1 hour) to get the door openened, internet not on the rooms only in the other hotel, very slow internet, bad service .. not recommended.

Great location! Right on a canal, and a couple minutes walk from the train station, a waterbus stop, and tons of shops, restaurants, and trattorias! I was a little scared when we walked up and saw only one star on the sign above the door, but we were quite relieved when we got inside. Our room was clean, had plenty of space for our baby's portable crib, and had a great view. Had heat and A/C, too. They gave us coupons for free breakfast at a bakery around the corner. Great stay for the price!

Door was broken, so felt unsafe. Staff didn't speak any english and didn't know what she was doing. Location was brill. Glad I only had one night tho. I couldn't manage another. Air con was broken and no curtain, there was blood on my bed sheet.

Place Infested with mosqito, the wall is marked with the blood of dead mosqito . Bed is also sinking in due to over usage.

Shower is does not have enough presure and seem to be dripping out , air con has a wierd smell over all is very bad

If I known venice is so small I would have book some where futher in which is MUCH better .

Not all the rooms were numbered and I could not find my room on the first night - not helped as reception was in another hotel. Although I booked for 7 nights from 26th Sept I was woken at 12.30am on the 7th morning to say I should have booked out the previous day. They didn't seem to understand that if your last night was the 2nd, you didn't leave the hotel till the 3rd. They seemed to count 31st Sept as a night even though there is no such day! I would also have liked a basin in my room, although the shower was nice and unexpected.

I really glad that I found this hotel. Although it is not in the "perfect center" of Venice, it's location is perfect. It is very nice place to stay and I will definitely visit it again :)

we (3 old ladies around 70) found the BIASIN charming, location excellent, breakfast-bar cute. Bar PONTINI beside hotel just wonderful. It's loud on the canal, that's Venice, we loved it!!!

The location is very good (next to the river even though your room will not have the view). But you have to collect your key from one hotel (many steps to go) then go to another hotel for your room. But with this price in Vince, it still a good trade.

I stayed here for the second time. It's a good hotel compared to the price (30 Euro for a single room). The rooms are okay, unfortunately the showers are not (neither this time in the "Marte" house nor last time in the "Biasin" house). Also some noise because of old doors etc. But it's in my favourite part of Venice (Cannaregio)and as I said: a really good price.

good: room warm and clean; staff kind; not far from the station

bad: room too small; they don't have much control of the reservation already done by the website; those who are in the other building (Hotel Biasin) have to deal with kids making noise and leaving the bathrooms dirty

To be honest, its a cheap place and its worth it when you dont really care where to sleep! Myself,i heard about it so i booked online. Once there the price was the double of what it was supposed to be..you can find better, for you of course!

For a short stay it was great. Towels and sheets crisp and clean. However the show is not inclosed and you had to shower beside the toilet with a thin curtain inbetween. There were also 3 sets of stairs to go up. The breakfast was a cup of coffee and a fruit filled bun. Staff was very friendly. However for only 100 Euro in that area, you can't ask for much more.

Generally fair. No person at reception at the Biasin, makes it "feel" unattended and impersonal. Generally facilities were alright.

Perfect in location, a real 'old fashion' darling of a hostel They let you put your luggage in the reception untill you leave for late train etc. For that money right in the real Venice. My room was small but the bed big and good matras and I LOVE those kind of original hostels. The area around, is the old Jews ghetto, you must walk around there, not a lot of tourist. I will for 100 % stay here again ...women 60 years

we stayed in hotel biasin in private room and shared WC

the showers was the worst i ever use (except in the army) no water pressure claustrophobic no place to put your clothes no way to lock the door etc...

also the cleaning lady just enterd our room while the door was locked and we were in the room (there is no do not disturb sign)

the only good point about this hotel is that it is not expensive and 1 min walk from the synagogue in the jewish gheto

Location wise this is the best you can get in Venice, but other than that - it'll meet your basic needs: beds and bathroom. I would stay here again.

While my husband and I did feel that the hotel was in a good location we were not terribly impressed by many other aspects. The room was not clean with hair in the bathroom and mould growing under the window sills. The mattress was very old with dents from previous bodies and the room was very very noisy due to it's location just outside the reception area. The shower was just a trickle and the air coniditoning unit (positioned above the bed) dripped on my husband so we had to leave the windows open and were attacked by mosquitos during the night. I wouldn't stay again.

On the face of it, the place looks very uninviting, and upon going up the stairs even more so, but upon settling in, it's a great place - my single room was small but it had a basin AND was air conditioned, and God I have no idea how I got it for €30 a night! The location is actually fantastic - literally a 10-15 min walk to the train station, and a 5 min walk to the nearest vaporetto, for a quick ride on the canal to San Marco and beyond. The location also allowed me to come back during the day for a shower and siesta (a new but welcome thing for an Aussie!). The water pressure in the shower was terrible, but since the weather was so hot, the cold trickling shower didn't matter! The basin allowed me to do a simple laundry wash every day (but windowless meant it was hard to dry them). All up, with free simple brekky (croisant + coffee) at the cafe downstairs, great value. A nice surprising find, go for it.

5 minutes from the train station and ferry. 15-20 minutes from everywhere else. The hotel and rooms are quite tight, but i guess everything is tight in Venice. I love air conditioners - 30 degrees outside, 20 degrees inside:)

It is more like hostel, with common bathrooms which aren't so tidy and clean. Room is quite good. Everything is bit old and antique, but has its charm. Price is ok. I'd recommend it to people who don't expect too much of their sleeping place and don't spent many time in their room.

The hotel has a good price-services relationship. The bed is good, the sheets are clean, it was silent, but there is not much more than that. The shared bathroom could be better. The hotel is close to Lista di Spagna, where there are some options of not too expensive food. It's very easy to access from Piazza di Roma or Santa Lucia train station. My discover: Venice doesn't stinks.

looking for a nice stay? stay away from the marte biasin. looking for a place to sleep while visiting venice? marte biasin is ok. while booking xou don't get to know if your room is wether in the marte OR biasin hotel.the marte looked quite ok.the biasin where my room was look frightening.small room, uncomfortable bathroom, no tv no fridge no safetybox no real window.even though it was described with all this items on their website!but you wont find another place to stay for 25 euros and it is easy to reach from trainstation and its easy to get to venices centre from there and the staff was really kind eventhough they spoke bad english. not comfortable for a longer stay with your family or your girlfriend, but ok for a few nights.

The place is comfortable and quiet too. the room is quite small - i stayed in a bedroom which had two single bed. there is a sink in the bedroom and airconditioned. we have to share the bathroom with the rest of the guest but it was fine because there is small number of rooms in one floor. not much to offer - just ok for a stay because you are going to spent time walking all over venice anyway. just be a little bit patient with the person incharge at the reception- nice lady though. easy to find - short distance from the bus and train station

Clean and comfortable hotel. Our room had air con, sink, fridge, tv and two mirrors although someone else complained that their room had no mirrors. The shower is not great and the receptionist did not speak english. For its price a great place to stay.
