Waterland

Great experience staying in Waterland, totally recommendable. The room was a bit warm but understandable as it is a boat!

Awesome place I recommend it 100%. Staff was super nice, breakfast is included and really good and the rooms are good as well. I am definitely staying here next time.

If you stay anywhere in Amsterdam, stay here! The man who owns the boat is the best host I've ever had, and I received the best service there as well. When I was a guest and had to catch an early train before the breakfast time, he made his legendary breakfast early out of the kindness of his heart. Great host, great location, and a great stay. Would stay there again if I visit Amsterdam.

The staff was reall nice. She left us the key on the table in the kitchen for we arrived very late.

We spent very good time on this boat! Breakfast is very nice. The boatrooms are small but very comfortable!A very niceweekend :-)

Roel was a perfect host and always friendly. He served delicious home-made breakfast and coffee with juice.

The boat is not very far from the city center (15-20 min by foot).

The minuses is you can hear almost everything what's going on behind the walls and people walking and moving around. Second minus is abscence of proper internet connection.

In general is a good place to spend a couple of nights during short trip to Amsterdam

The boot is beautiful and very comfortable, right in the city centre. The breakfast was really hand made and fresh. We had fruits, eggs, cereals and great coffee. Thanks for the good time!

Closed to the Central Station and the City Center is Waterland. A houseboat with a great Atmosphere, a nice staff who make eggs for you. But it is very noisy there because of the thin walls.

Close to the centralstation, libary etc. The libary had a fantastic view with great restaurangs and café. Perfect located. Waterland was perfectly locasted and we were well taken care off. FANTASTIC breakfast. It was fun to sleep on a boat and really peaceful surroundings. I warmly recomend it. Not fancy but great place to stay at.

As a young couple we enjoyed ourselves at waterland. The owner was very accommodating with special requests. There is a basin and power in each room. the beds are surprisingly spacious. Great breakfast cooked by the owner in the morning. Location was ok with the centre on town being a 15 minute walk away. The owner promotes a social environment with lots of books and games available on the lounge. Music is always playing in the lounge. There is also a large table on the deck for socialising with other guests. Overall a bargain and very comfortable stay.

Very near of the main train station. The breakfast is very good and the staff couldn't be more on point. Great place for a short staying because the chamber is little even thought its functionnal. I recommand this place !

Great location and incredibly clean! The hostel was great and cool because it was on a boat. Also the breakfast was delicious and there were a lot of things to eat!

We spent one weekend in Waterland and enjoy it! The only problem was to find the boat but, after this, was perfect. Roel is a perfect host and his breakfast is perfect! Small, cheap, clean and cozy place. We reccomend!

Perfect place, everything great as well the breakfast. Cause its a boat its a bit loud, or lets if you got stupid neighbours they even can be distrubed if you listening to music by your iphone. Otherwise perfect...

Next time I am in Amsterdam, I would like to sleep in Waterland again. In the beginning it was really hard to find the boat, but now that I know where it is, I will go back. The staff is really nice, the breakfast was indeed great, as we read in the reviews before and the rooms were clean and warm. We could also sleep quitly and and cosey.

Really great place to stay and very relaxed atmosphere on the boat. Not ideal for big gangs of lads perhaps but great for small groups who are there to chill. Great alternative to a hostel, highly recommended!

BOAT EXPERIENCE! JUST THIS! IT WAS REALLY NICE! NOT A LOT OF SPACE BUT FUN AND CLEAN AND COUSY! WORTH THE PRICE! TRY IT!

This boat is staffed completely by Roel, who prepares the delicious and superb five star breakfast every morning along with all the other regular hostel/boat duties. There is a real charm to this place as it feels like you're a real valuable guest at Waterland. The boat is situated near the amazing NEMO science museum and away from the madness of downtown. Right around the corner you can find the splendid and newly renovated public library with free internet access and a very hidden gem, budget bicycle rental shop and cafe where your bike won't scream 'I DON'T SPEAK DUTCH!' Overall I'd highly recommend Waterland, if you'd like a nice peaceful retreat close to the city centre. This is definitely where I'll be staying next time I'm in town.

Horribly noisy.

They were flexible and helpful. We got free ticket to go to the parking.

For a budget price you get clean rooms, clean baths (in the corridor) and a nice breakfast. Personnel and friendly & helpful. The pier is ten walking minutes away from the city center. Take the tram (15 minutes) to get to a cheap Park & Ride (6€/24h).

It was a very interesting experience!
