R4R BCN has a sweet location, the rooms are fine, lockers provided, small bathrooms, a small kitchen and small living area, staff were pleasant..

But for 10€ a night for a mixed 6-bed dorm you won't find cheaper for 10,000 kms (i.e. India) haha.

:)

Nice hostel in the centre of Barcelona, we had a problem with our room, but it was solved by the staff immediately.

I was in share-room, unfortunately doors to room were faulty so it was difficult to lock them, on the other hand they we very old so it was easy to pull them and have access to the room - I didnt feel that my belongings were safe. Price for towel is not included towel costs 2 EUR (there is no information about it). Service is nice. Hostel is situated close to loud street but has good location.

Very nice place. A little small and the internet didn't work that well, but other than that is pretty nice.

I recommend it for travelers

Rooms 4 rent was a pretty cool place for the location and cost. My room was right on a main street so it was constantly load. Definitely get what you pay for and the atmosphere of people was pretty cool. Made loads of new friends

Location is really great, so close to the Catalunya Square and the beginning of La Rambla street. Beautiful view from the appartament on the 6th floor. I really appreciate that Hostel accepted Erasmus student discount and we had to pay only for 5 nights and stayed 7! Good price :-)

Me and my sister booked a double room with shared bathroom on the 5th floor, for 1 week in september. till 00:00h it was no problem to use the lift but after midnight it was advised to use the stairs to our own security :)

The bedroom was big enough with a freestanding metallic closet. moreover there were a little table an two chairs.

The bed was quiet comfortable, but dont have to many expectations- cause nonetheless its a hostel not a 5star hotel. Unfortunatly we had the room right beside the big street- it was very very loud all the night- the city never sleeps, so u do neither! but for less than one week it is okay. i think.

The bathroom was okay. Clean but old and there were fungal traces in the jointing. So take flipflops with you in any cases! Warm water all the time!

We had 30°C each day so it was very hot at nights too and it was hard to find a compromise between closed windows/hot room- cause no air conditioning.

The breakfast is horrible! Toast bad jam and cornflakes. The "dining room" was too small for all vistiers so it seems to be a battle field for the guests.

TIP: almost around the block theres a supermaket which sells fresh baguettes and other cerealic bread and cheese etc too. you can keep the rest in the fridge on oyur own floor. We baught 8 litre bottle water.

Its a very CENTRAL HOSTAL! for shopping only 5 min by foot. the ramblas is 7 min away. and there are 2 metro stations (plca catalunya and universitat) from where you get ver quick to everywhere u want. It has a COOL CENTRAL POSTION only a little bit too loud.

The staff ws really nice and spoke english very well. There was no trouble with them and we had luck that always we needed them they was available althougt the office was closed. Other visitiors was not that lucky, because although the staff had to be there they wasn't. so dont take the opening times too serious.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME !! its cool but next time i would prefer a quieter room.

Localization is perfect- 5 minutes to La Rambla and Catalunya Pl. There is quite clean in rooms and bathrooms. Only the kitchen is a little bit messy. I like to eat well for breakfast and that what is served in that hostel is to poor to me. Because the hostel is localized near the main street there is a lot of noise even durning the night hours.

Its a nice hostel, it is not suitable for hifi people, except few gliches this hostel is good. Staff is also friendly. Breakfast is good, bathrooms are clean. Free internet system is also available. I have reached before check-in time, though I got ready and went out to roam in the city.

My expereince was negative. I had booked a single room. When I arrived it wasn't ready, I was put in a closet like room, with no windows, told that the next day I'd have the room I'd reserved. That night when I got in, I heard people arguing next door - I discovered that there was an ajoining room hidden behind a sliding door . I called the reception, he came and took me to what he called the good room...It was again, window-less, the shower was miniscule, he advised me not even to use it (which made me wonder why it was there?)and when I used the bathroom sink, food came up from the drain. It was revolting. When I did get my room the next day, the sheets on the bed hadn't been washed and smelled of sweat. It was unpleasant. I would say the owner is a nice guy, but really, what I wanted was a clean room where I could sleep. As far as things like the "fun factor" goes, I couldn't care less. If I was 18 and hadn't travleed very much, I guess I'd think it was normal, but since I have travelled, it seemed like a dump. My private room was right off the "social area", so every night there were people drinking whiskey and coke just outside my door. It wasn't what I wanted or expected.I believe many people might enjoy it, for me, it was a very unpleasant experience. I could go on, but what's the point?

great location and helpful staff! i was also pleasantly surprised about the quest lists to the clubs all-tough it would have been even more fun if it would have been a little more organized so that people from the hostel had gone to clubs as one group with someone who knows the way.

Well..I had a room for two in Balmes Street, very close to Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia, Plaza Catalunya and Universitat and it was more than ok for visiting and shopping and clubbing. The bathrooms ( common ) were very clean, I had breakfast included, access at the kitchen and refrigerator and free access at internet. The staff is young and friendly, you can receive more than one key and at the reception you can find hairdryers and other stuff you might need if you come only with a hand luggage by plane. The room was not very big or fancy but very clean, the furniture is old style, but when you go in Barcelona you only need a very comfortable bed to rest for some couple of hours (the mattress was great). All this at the price of 150 euro/person/7 days ( 26 May-2nd June ).

Perfect location. Our room was very humid and smelled kinda bad in the beginning. Great breakfast. We didn't know we had to pay a deposit of 20 euros or leave an ID as a deposit of the key. Other than that, great hostel, I'd stay there again.

The hostel had a good location (5-10min walk to the main street of la rambla) and was clean, however I found a some of the staff a little clueless and if you're unable to brave the Barcelona heat, perhaps search for somewhere with a/c.

I had a really good time in the hostel. The room was clean, the showers and the washrooms were clean as well. In the kitchen you have everything for cooking by your own. The only thing was that someone stole our pizza from the fridge. The hostel is 7 minutes from the Rambla, in a perfect position. The underground is located 5 minutes from the hostel, and you can reach whatever you want. We were all really satisfied.

I think the cleaness of the overall hostal can be better and I've visited many hostels and even albergues from the north of Spain that have way better overall instalations than the hostel. Even though, the staff was nice and the breakfast was much better that any other place.

The location of the hostel is perfect, the staff is friendly and the rooms are OK. The breakfast is not so good and the dinning-room is located between two of the rooms (5 and 6 I think), so it becomes very noisy in the morning and you can't sleep after 8:30 am.
