Amazing staff, very clean rooms

Great place, helpful friendly staff (big shout out for Maggie!) and super close to the park and subway!

It's a nice hostel and a favorable location. I personally thought it was a bit too pricey for a room that looked very much like a jail cell, but in NYC I guess one is to expect such prices. The lobby area was very nice with modern and comforting interior. Staff members were great.

Simple hostel. We missed a table and chairs. WiFi worked only in the lobby level.

It's a great hostel really nearby to the anything you want to visit. It will server better if you're looking for a place to crash after site seeing though, because the atmosphere within the hostel is not that festive. People at the front desk are rude and it seems that they don´t like their work HOWEVER, try talking to Maggie at the cafeteria and she will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know, will even give you a map full of FREE recommendations, she really compensates the bad attitude of boys and girls at the front desk.

The heaters were off and we froze all night. They didn't give me any reimbursement.

It is quite good for the price. There is a subway near of the hostel, and it is calm.

Computers with internet are si expensive.

There is a supermarket on Amsterdam av and the 96th street open, we just have to but a water and we can use internet.

I booked a dorm room for two people, but I didn't get a room like that, but a dorm room for 4 people, with the same price. Not correct...

this hostel is ok. it is close to the subay, clean, the bunk beds are not very comfortable, the room is big enough and has a wash-bowl, the bathroom was clean and big. there are no quiet room (or something comparable). in the lobby are 2 tv where they show new dvds - it is nice. in the guest kitchen are no dishes at all, but 2 big fridges. supermarkets and everything is all around.

Good value accomodation in NYC. We stayed in a private room, which makes it very much like a regular hotel. Rooms are very simple and small, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep and be on tour during the day this is a good option. Value is good, considering the location, and much better than in many other NYC hostels. Consider that you pay much more than indicated on the website (for a 2-bed private room, we paid approx. $36 per person/night in May). Bathrooms are sufficient and clean, towels and linens are changed every day. There is an additional sink in the private rooms. Most rooms face Broadway and are quite noisy, especially at night (which is the time you are usually there). The kitchen in the lounge is minimalistic, just fridges, a sink and microwave, but ok for having breakfast. Staff was nice. Not much activity, so maybe not the place to meet other travellers. Neighborhood is nice, lots of shops and good restaurants, definitely safe, and close to subway. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

The smart hotel/hostel entrance from the outside belied the actual accommodation inside. The reception and lounge area was pleasing and comfortable but far too small for the number of guests. The 6 bed (3 double bunks) room was ridiculously small (below any legal planning limit for 6 people). The bathrooms were clean and modern on our floor(6th). The hotel is situated close to the Subway, a 10 minute journey to Times Square. Our biggest shock was that the actual accommodation cost($682), turned out to be 26% more than the booking confirmation showed($540). Beware of the hidden $3.50 pppn over and above the 'taxes' of 15.25%!

Nice place if you want to visit New York, but be prepared for long queues to the bathroom the morning. Good for a short stay.

nice nwe and clean hostel, nearby the subway, approx 15 min. to Times Square. rooms are small but very clean. you get a fresh towel every day. mattresses are not good. when you turn around in your bed your room mates will hear it. Tip: if you don´t sleep well, take earplugs with you.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Broadway Hotel and Hostel, the staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel at home. The lounge area was very comfortable and pleasant. The only problems I encountered were that the cold water tap in one of the showers wasn`t working and internet use is pretty expensive if you don`t bring your own laptop, but apart from that it was pretty much perfect. I recommend it!

the hostel is wonderfull but the bathroom wasn't clean and the kitchen wasn't practical because it missed forks, knives, spoons and hotplates. The storage for luggages is a great idea and the staff is very responsible. I think I have forgotten my ipod, it's black and big, i was in the bedroom 633during the night from 9/11 to 9/12, have you found it?

No night time hot water.

Loud metal bunk beds. No clear ladder to get into top bunk. Whole contraption shifts to get up and down.

No elevator. No hand soap or towels in bathroom.

I like your hotel, but there not enought equipment to cook in the kitchen. A freezer is missing too.

In the bedroom we appreciate the washbasin but the iron beds are too much noisyand moving.

The location is good, it´s a 2 minute walk to the next subway. Most of the receptionists were not really capable, the first night we were overbooked and had to wait 1,5 h for another room, the second night they gave us a dorm that was already filled. Trough the night the heating made continuously noises. And the bathrooms were too dirty for my taste...

The Best Hostal I've ever been...really, it's in a super good location of the city save and nice, the rooms are clean, they make the bed for you everyday and give you a clean towel each day. They have a nice lobby where they display movies everyday and some days they even give free popcorn. It has a little kitchen for all to use, with refrigerator and microwave. Lockers are for free, and it has elevator. FREE WIFI. I really recomended.

The hostel is very clean and is well located (it takes only 20 minutes to Times Sq). The problem is the bathrooms. There are only 3 or 4 in each floor and sometimes, specially in the mornings, you have to wait quite a long time to use it. Anyway, I do recommend it.

Clean and nice at a good position on Manhattan nearby the Subway. Nice toilets/showers. A bit cold during nighttime with AC on full, but thats teh only complaint. Nice price, try it!

It's a nice place to stay. As any other huge hostel you can't get to know everybody. The rooms are nice but they don't look like the picture in the website. Last but not least there seems to be a limit of simultaneous users on the Free WiFi so if you plan to get online in the evening be sure to get downstairs early.

For the price it was very good. towels and sheets were changed every day. restrooms were cleaned once a day (but wear shoes for the shower anyway!). Security staff was very friendly, reception staff was not. Anyway, very good position to get into downtown!

It's nice to stay there, if you don't expect a *****hotel. If you need something to sleep and have a clean shower then its the right one!

The hostel is very nice, but everyone arrived at the same time, so I had to wait a long time to do my check in. People were really very nice, and the place, very clean!

I really enjoyed staying at the Broadway hotel and I will certainly recommend it! The location is great and safe. The staff is very helpful and caring. Rooms and facilities are good considering the excellent prices.
