The Bo-Kaap district is also known as the Cape Malay Quarter, this is because its first inhabitants were from Malaysian nationality. The houses here are distinguished by their colors, so varied and so bright, which seems to walk in the middle of a rainbow.

5. ROBBEN ISLAND AND THE NELSON MANDELA'S CELL

We wanted to put an historical and seriously reason anyway, basically, Cape Town had its role in the history and it is right to remember, even if Robben Island is not exactly a happy memory. On this island there is the prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, during the tour you can see his cell, definitely it does something, but we recommend it.

The island's name comes from the Dutch, then turned into English, it means "Seal Island" for its large number of sea lions.
