Only an hour and a half from Milan we find a wonderful city that tourists sometimes overlook: Turin.

What was the first Italian capital is also the birthplace of many famous Italian companies, such as Lavazza or Kappa.

At HostelsCentral we have it clear: give Turin a chance! You want to know why?...

Treat yourself at GROM

Although today this famous Italian ice cream shop can be found in virtually every corner of the country, its birth took place in Turin, in 2003. You can not leave the city without trying some of its delicious ice cream! What flavor will you choose?

Visit the cathedral

Remember that you are in Italy and cathedrals and churches are a mandatory stop. Turin's cathedral is just behind the royal palace, and the shroud of Christ is inside. Just don't expect to see the original ... but do not be discouraged. Enjoy the copy and listen to its story as it's totally worth it!

Contemplate the Mole Antonelliana

The building is the main architectural symbol of the city of Turin, built between 1863 and 1888 by the Italian architect Alessandro Antonelli - hence the name of the work! - It was designed to be a Jewish synagogue. If the shape of it seems familiar you may have seen some of the 2 cents coins that carry the image.

Fulfill the tradition

Search for Roma Street, enjoy some shopping, get to San Carlo Square and marvel at its two churches and its sculpture, are you there? All right! When you go through the arches, look at the ground ... you will see the famous bull symbol of the city and where you can follow the tradition! You have to step on the private parts of the animal and turn around, so you make sure you return to this beautiful city!

We only have to look for accommodation! Here are some ideas that will surely convince you to head for Turin:
