After spending the day in the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo, we have fallen in love with the Asian country and do not want to abandon it so quickly. That is why today we travel to Negombo, located in the district of Gampaha, at the west.

Things to do in Negombo
Strolling through the Dutch channel

Negombo is a city to fall in love with due its historical monuments, its nature, its birds ... and, of course, its beaches. Can you think of anything better than a relaxing night walk along the shore after a hard day visiting the city?
Visit a Hindu temple
The Hindu temples attract attention and make you fall in love with in equal parts, their striking colors without any doubt invite to enter. Especially if we compare them with the serene occidental churches. One of the most impressive is the Angurukaramulla Temple, whose entrance with the shape of an open lion's mouth is guarded by a six-meter Buddha.
Traveling in Tuk Tuk
Nothing better for visit the whole city than use the most used means of Asian transport: the Tuk Tuk. A motorized three-wheeled vehicle with which you can save a good amount of money by renting it and driving it yourself. Lose the fear and travel the island mounted on one!
